Hello!
I had been playing around with the idea of breath and plants. Wanting to push it into the absurdism realm with some morphing , I ended up creating an Ident that no one asked for - 🤷♀️ except for me maybe because … you know HP ☺️
Earlier this year I was approached by @moretonbay_galleriesandmuseums to respond to the exhibition theme of "Get Me Out" which was based around the idea of what possibilities are on the table if we can escape from the current state? Who would benefit and who gets left behind? Here you will find both utopic and dystopic futures, some filled with hope and others with humour.
So with this in mind I set off to in creating "Surrogate Vistas". My interpretation of the concept is based in traversing several different vistas, these tilted realities provide a momentary glance into a surreal world that explores a combination of organic, sci-fi and bizarre environments. This magical realism’s journey’s supporting characters include synthetic anthropomorphic objects fused with a dream state cosmos. Providing a moment of escape this exploration through the imagined immerses the viewer in familiar surroundings with unfamiliar fabrications.
I am excited to start sharing some of these vistas with you as a glimpse of what I created as part of the commission from @moretonbay_galleriesandmuseums
The work is currently on until the 21st of October and is projected across a wall spanning 10 metres in size.
The soundtrack was created by the incredibly talented @jonweber8 aka @luridorb works beautifully in tandem with my ideas.

Over the weekend Prosthetic Reality v2 was released @designercon ! PRv2 is an Augmented Reality book by Sutu Eats Flies and EyeJack that includes so so many incredible artists. I feel extremely honoured to be amongst them ✨.
I created this piece as a fictional science fiction ( 🤔) novel cover which comes to life momentarily to reflect a transient moment in it’s lifecycle. ☄️
