Google May Launch YouTube Premium Lite Soon
YouTube is preparing to launch a cheaper "Premium Lite"subscription in countries like the US, Australia, Germany, and Thailand, according to Bloomberg. This plan is for viewers who want fewer ads but don’t need music-related features.
Previously, YouTube tested Premium Lite in Europe back in 2021 but later discontinued it in 2023. However, a newer version is now being tested, offering **limited ads at a lower price**. Some users reported seeing it for $8.99 AUD per month, compared to the standard **$16.99 AUD** for full YouTube Premium.
A YouTube spokesperson confirmed they are working on this ad-free alternative and may expand it further, but the pricing and official launch details remain unclear.
