Coron-ing Glory 🏝

Been waiting for a long time to start dropping one of many of some treasured photos from my trip last month.

I’ll be honest.. being back in the motherland and discovering these gems of places has made me fall in love with it so much more.

Though I can’t speak the language well, I still feel some very deep ties to the islands.

It’s also changed a lot of my perspectives of the future. Meeting many others from differing walks of life. Really taught me what’s truly important.

Just a gem. Paradise on earth.

I’ve spend the last week or so back in the motherland, the Philippines. For years I’d go back to visit family and all I knew was the city. But I wish I’d’ve known this ages ago. I’ve been able to rest and recuperate. Listen and be corrected amongst the wonder of nature. Sad to leave but also can’t wait to be back and explore more. Just scratching the surface.

Rested!

Funny what intentionality when it comes to rest does for you. I’ve learnt I’ve had a clearer head, less tumult in my thinking and a tad more patience. As well as the drive to create again.

It’s been a weird year so far. So many peaks and troughs in my day to day.

The Glitter Strip ✨

The one day the sun decided to play was the day Cyclone Seth decided to whip up something special.

Fortunately my ever reliable mavic 3 was able to handle those strong gusts. Although I was a little worried when the gimbal tricked out.

One of a few special moments this week. Back to real life.

Kickin’ off Christmas week. 🎅🏽

my little take on tonight’s sunset. having missed out last night, benson and I decided to try it again and we didn’t get disappointed. I could tell from far away something special was brewing, but no where near as big as this one.

Perfect way to end a day like today to see a colour blast like this.

It really was a good way to welcome back some sun.

Took this with the new mavic 3 and it was nothing short of splendid. It’s actually cropped in! How good?!

The last time I flew to take sunsets in windy conditions like this was this time last year.

and I witnessed an epic barrel cloud hurtling towards sydney and I knew it would ruin this shot. Having sent it.. I only had a couple of minutes to shoot the colours unfolding.

The state’s coppin’ some heavy falls this week. Without a doubt, everyone is missing the warmth (not a fan of this humidity though).

Another full 365 days around this third rock from the sun, one could say, a full 30 revolutions.

Really grateful to be here - despite what we're all going through.

Crazy to think how far I've come. I took this one almost 3 years ago.

Oh much has changed. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Value your health. There's a lot of alarmism, negativity and fear abounding. I've even learnt voices that I once revered have now uncovered themselves to no longer serve their purpose in my life.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

I write this as half the population of Australia is once again.. locked down.

The skies up north have been a treat.

Glad I got to see some nice tasty colours in time.

Those that live here really do live in paradise.

I managed to lug my RF 100-500 in my carry on. That was a challenge and a half. Its such a tank of a lens!

Was it worth it? I certainly thought so.
