UNFOLDING STORY: RMIT Students for Palestine led a march through RMIT city campus as part of the launch of the Gaza Solidarity Encampment in the Alumni Courtyard. Students, staff, and organisers spoke at a 12pm rally calling for universities to “disclose” and “divest” connections to Israel and weapons manufacturers. Protestors specifically called on RMIT to end their relationship with the Sir Lawrence Wackett Defence and Aerospace Centre. “RMIT your hands are red, 50,00 kids are dead,” the crowd chanted. The Swanston Gazette will continue to cover the story as it develops.
