A powerhouse producer, performer, and the mastermind behind the legendary Night'n Day Records, Mareen helped define a sound that became the heartbeat of dancefloors worldwide.

Sammy Allen – Slave To Love

Back in the late 1980s, a demo titled She surfaced, born from the creative minds of three young musicians - Rick and Remon Melsert and Paul Nieuwenhuijsen - and brought to life with the expert touch of Michiel van der Kuy.

Under the moniker Kick The Habit, the project was set to fuse their collective talents with Michiel's unmistakable flair and a dash of early house influences. But for reasons lost to time, the track was shelved, vanishing into obscurity for over 35 years.

Now, this forgotten treasure has been unearthed, thanks to Michiel Van Der Kuy & Sergi Elias cooperating with the Vintage Pleasure Boutique. Finally seeing the light of day, „She“ has been reimagined with five stunning versions, including the original and fresh remixes by the brilliant Prospero duo (A51m Productions, who infuse Michiel’s timeless 1980s magic.

For fans of spacey vocals, vocoders, Laser Dance vibes, and synth-driven nostalgia, this blue piece of wax is an absolute must-hear - a shimmering time capsule of space synth and Italo disco’s golden era.

Do you remember the times when big Euro Disco hits were remixed especially for the British market?

Do you remember PWL remixes? Do you remember the flush on your cheeks when you came across PWL Remix of a hit by London Boys, Sandra, Blue System, Debut De Soiree, Desireless and even Boney M?

Behind the PWL name there were producers associated with the hit trio Stock/Aitken/Waterman (those who promoted a number of great artists, such as: Dead Of Alive, Banarama, Mel & Kim, Kylie Minogue or Rick Astley). The masterminds responsible for remixes were among others Pete Hammond, Phil Harding or Dave Ford.

We decided to refer to those events from the second half of the 80s and create our own remixes for you, inspired by the sound of PWL. And there is a great opportunity for this, because one of our most popular artists has recorded songs that are perfect for this purpose.

Here is a special maxi single with two wonderful, Blue System-inspired Romantic Avenue songs in special remixes.

In addition to the PWR Entertainment versions, there are also unique edits called DJ Version and an amazing fresh remix by Affect PL.

The carbon footprint left by Modern Talking is undeniable. Already in the 1980s, the sound created by Dieter Bohlen, Luis Rodriguez and Rolf Kohler was an inspiration for many producers of electronic dance pop from countries such as Italy, France, USA, Greece, Netherlands, Sweden or Switzerland.

Nostalgia for romantic disco does not fade away, and one of its most interesting representatives is the Romanian project Romantic Avenue. Perfectly recreated sounds and progressions, as if they were created back in 1985 in studio 33.

The incredible success of the album "Through The Years" on CD and on digital platforms made us understand that Romantic Avenue has a huge crowd of die-hard fans. And among them there are also vinyl collectors.

We decided to reward them and prepared a special vinyl edition. The twelve-inch disc contains shortened versions of songs specially prepared for this format. Available exclusively on vinyl.
