To my new followers!
We are a 🆓 to all MUSEUM and ODDITIES/CURIOSITIES shop
We are located at 545 South Main Street
Springhill LA inside the South Main Mall
Our current up and running exhibits are
“Viewer Beware you’re in for a scare”
An RL Stine exhibit all about his books, movies, tv shows and life’s work
You will find replicas and “nods” to many of his books in this exhibit and information about him.
Every child that visits receives a free RL Stine book upon arrival. If you are interested in donating books to the cause we have a donation bin AND you will receive percentages off purchases for your good deed!
We also have our “Louisiana Gothic” exhibit featuring Louisianas Famous Cryptids
The Honey Island Swamp Monster and Rougarou make for the perfect photo ops! You will find all kinds of information on our statewide legends and lore.
Upcoming exhibits being added this month and in August are our
“Local Artist spotlight Gallery” where talented artisans from our area and surrounding areas will have their work up for viewing and for purchase along with an upcoming “meet the artist” event to unveil their art to the public and get to meet with the creators of these beautiful works of art!
“A bugs life” entomology exhibit will be released in August! It will be an informative exhibit about the importance of our pollinators and their value to the ecosystem. Insects are fascinating and resilient creatures, we hope to highlight that.
To prepare for this exhibit I am asking children to bring in art they create to help cover my entire store front! Poster board sized with their favorite insects! There is no right or wrong way to do these, let them unleash their creativity and help cover my store. Make sure their names and ages are visible on the front so everyone that comes through the mall can see who created each piece!
All children that participate will get a prize for helping!
We also have a classic oddities and curiosities room full of peculiar and interesting antiquities, ranging from medical oddities to the paranormal.
Taxidermy art, insect pinning, doll making supplies & more.
Our summer hours are
Tues-Thurs 10am-5pm
Friday 11am-7pm
Saturday 11am-9pm
Donations and tips are excepted and all go toward the creation of future exhibits. All exhibits will be rotated out for new ones every so often.
Nearly everything in exhibits and in shop are available for purchase or can be ordered for you.
