Our new program/profile with great friends and acclaimed musicians Kristin Grainger and Dan Wetzel......featuring songs from their 2023 album "Fear of Falling Stars"- recorded at Artichoke Music in Portland Oregon back in January! They have SUCH a fine band- but I still love to hear them like they are performing on this show, as a duo, acoustic!

Many of you know that Winterfolk is an annual event that draws together some of the best folk musicians in the area for one night of wonderful music. This year it is headlining Tracy Grammer, but - great as she is - she will just be one of the musicians playing that night. Check out the poster!

PFS is delighted to be one of the friends of this show. Many of the performers are PFS members, and we are very pleased that Board Member Arietta Ward is among them.

And in addition to the great live music, there is another reason to attend: Winterfolk is a benefit for Transition Projects, which helps get people out of tents and back to leading productive lives. Winterfolk has raised many thousands of dollars for Transition Projects over the years, and our night of great music will help that continue.

I just discovered Winterfolk four years ago, but since the first time I went, I haven't missed one. Highly recommended! I hope to see you there.

Jim Page's house concert in SW Washington for Saturday, March 25th is SOLD OUT- HOWEVER, earlier that day, Jim will be taping Tom May's "River City Folk" national broadcast at Artichoke Music in Portland, Oregon at 2PM. The taping is FREE ( donation to the artist suggested) and begins at 2PM-
A wonderful chance to hear this important artist at one of the great acoustic venues in the U.S.- 2007 Powell Blvd. The taping just takes about an hour- what a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Portland, Oregon

On into year 38 of this broadcast, as I move into my 70s - as a singer, songwriter, producer, and still a foursquare believer in the inherent power and worth of this music.
