Authorities in Louisiana are searching for four inmates who escaped from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, just north of New Orleans — and three of the four are homicide suspects, the parish sheriff's office says.

The James C. Flood Mansion is a historic mansion at 1000 California Street, atop Nob Hill in San Francisco, California, USA. Now home of the Pacific-Union Club, it was built in 1886 as the townhouse for James C. Flood, a 19th-century silver baron. It was the first brownstone building west of the Mississippi River, and the only mansion on Nob Hill to structurally survive the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire. Oklahoma State Senator authors bill to limit freedom of the press.
If the Oklahoma legislature passes it, the Common Sense Freedom of Press Control Act would place more monitoring requirements and financial obligations on journalists and media outlets.
Under the proposed requirements, anyone working for a media outlet must submit to criminal background checks and quarterly drug tests.
The bill would also require them to file for a license from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, obtain $1 million in liability insurance, and attend an eight-hour “propaganda-free” safety training developed by PragerU.

CBS has ordered an “NCIS” prequel series focusing on a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Variety has confirmed.
The series is titled “NCIS: Origins” and will air during the 2024-2025 season. The show will be set in 1991 with Mark Harmon (who played Gibbs for nearly two decades) as narrator.
