Pretty cool to see this. Not so cool if you were flying. Because of severe storms that rolled through Chicago this week, many flights had to be diverted. It would be too turbulent and dangerous to fly into the line of storms. Because air is typically pushed outward with storms, that's why you don't see any planes right in front or heading into the storm. Pic: Illinois Weather

"It was pretty crazy." An Ohio deputy was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time after he was clipped by a tornado last week. Sgt. Travis Schenck with the @madisoncountysheriffsoffice described the moments leading up to his vehicle being overtaken by the tornado and what it was like to be inside the twister.
