I spent the weekend leafing through the latest releases from Edizioni Clichy, RAUM Italic, and Giovanni Colaneri. So many wonderful things happen when books cross borders! Thanks to Editions La Joie de lire, Orfeu Negro, Les Arènes and Nuvem de Letras.

This week, the adorable Crocotte — the little crocodile created by Giovanni Colaneri — has been released in French by Les Arènes. He stars in two board books that open a new series dedicated to emotions for the very young.
Many thanks to Giovanni, always so delicate and sensitive, and to Les Arènes for their precious editorial work and for such a beautifully crafted and surprising edition.

We focus on illustrated books – for children, but not only – as well as titles on art, design, and architecture. Visual storytelling and careful design are at the heart of everything we do.
From 2012 to 2020, RAUM Italic was also a space for books and design objects, where we hosted exhibitions, events, and workshops.

🔎Edizioni Clichy

The square where the Louvre Museum’s glass pyramid stands—and which originally hosted a large carousel—gives its name to a children’s book series that occupies a prominent place in Clichy’s catalogue. These are richly illustrated picture books, chosen for their unusual character or gripping story, for their distinctive style or dreamy and often irreverent text. They are aimed especially at younger children, with picture books made up entirely of images of great charm and quality.
