Focusing all your energy on the popular and latest tools can be a recipe for burnout.

Notion team launched Workspace Home few weeks ago. 🚀

Here are just few things you need to know about this minor addition to workspaces since not everyone has this new feature yet.

There's only one widget that's customizable. The Tasks Widget.

Any database in your workspace that's considered a 'Task database' can be shown at Home.

That database must have Status, Assignee, Date properties to be considered one.

Other widgets are

Recently visited,
Featured Templates,
and some Notion resources. (Ayt, cool.)

You have the option to either hide or show these widgets at your Home.

Though it’s a good addition but it lacks some of the other basic features a welcome page must have.

Like a widget for your own templates,

a list or gallery of your chosen pages (e.g important docs),

customized cover or images widget for aesthetics because after all, it's a welcome page for workspace members 🙂

But knowing Notion, they must be cooking other more important features rather than focusing on Homepage for workspaces.

Ever wondered how companies know what works best on their websites, emails, or apps? It's all hands to A/B testing.

What is it?

It compares two versions of something (text, layout, colors, etc.) to see which one performs better for a specific goal.

Say,

Headline A vs. Headline B: Which one gets more clicks?

Button color blue vs. green: Which one leads to more purchases?

Email subject line with emojis vs. without: Which one gets higher open rates?

For either small or big time creators, some might have already been using this with their templates and brand.

If you are not among those, try it and analyze the results.

It will probably save you valuable time and resources in the long run.
