Nathan Sweeney should never have been allowed to continue to have a commercial driver’s license.

If you are not aware Nathan Sweeney Killed Deputy Christina Musil on March 29, 2024. Sweeney was charged with DUI. He is a free man on pre trial release issued by Judge Buick.

DEKALB CITY POLICE UPDATE

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 12:25 PM, the DeKalb Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the Brian Bemis Toyota dealership at 1890 Sycamore Road about a patron who had become upset and was brandishing a knife. The individual then attacked employees, with one employee receiving a stab wound to an extremity. Police arrived within five minutes and confronted the individual, who refused to drop the knife and instead advanced towards the officers. Police then shot the individual, neutralizing the individual and ending the attack.
Officers then rendered first aid to the assailant, who was ultimately flown to a hospital in Rockford for medical care. He is presently reported to be in stable condition and is expected to survive. His identity is not being released at this time, pending further investigation into the incident.
The employee who was stabbed was treated for a non-life-threatening wound and released at the scene.
As standard protocol for an officer-involved shooting, the Illinois State Police will be conducting an independent investigation.
The DeKalb Police Department would like to thank our neighboring law enforcement agencies for assisting in the aftermath of this incident.

One was an incident that ended up in DeKalb county from Rockford.

Second was at a local Car Dealership.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office is working with Maple Park Police Department and other local agencies in locating a missing juvenile.

MISSING JUVENILE

Name : Asher D. McIlnay
Age: 14
Height : 5’9”
Weight: 140 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown, curly

Missing endangered juvenile for Asher D McIlnay, last sighted in Genoa, Illinois, around 9:30pm on 7/30/24.

McIlnay was last wearing a black shirt, gray sweatpants and black converse shoes, gray hoodie and flat brim dark colored ball cap and possibly carry a backpack.

May be headed to Genoa or Princeton Illinois. Unknown if on foot or in a vehicle.
