The Loram Rail Grinder heads northbound in Liberty, SC on the Norfolk Southern Greenville District while grading the main line for longer lasting rail!
Here is some news we do not regularly post. We just got the latest news about our local Historic racetrack the Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Greenville-Pickens Speedway has been around the since 1940 and is now not running at the moment due to other plans for an Industrial Park, but there is some good news towards the track that was mentioned in the video from New Channel 7 from Spartanburg, SC. We say the track can function with the Industrial Park and that's what the racing community wants along with the Industrial Park company! What do you think?
Here are some of the latest news about the Industrial Park and the Greenville-Pickens Speedway
The site of the Greenville-Pickens Speedway is beginning its transformation into an industrial park.
Today's chase with the Loram was great! Today we got word that the Loram Rail Grinder was grinding the Norfolk Southern Railway Greenville District heading northbound. We begin our little chase in Liberty, SC and end it in Easley, SC for the day with some great shots of the grinders. We would like to thank the Loram Company and the Norfolk Southern Railway for their hard work to keep the railroad safe and reliable for all the trains that run it. We also want to thank the Loram crew for giving us some nice hats from the company as well, it was nice to see some friendly people along the line and get some good photos of the grinders. This is awesome!

It was a nice day to look around Saluda, NC for Memorial Day. Today we visit Saluda, NC to see the former Southern Railway & Norfolk Southern line known as Saluda Grade. Saluda Grade was the steepest main line Grade in the United States. Average grade was 4.24 percent for 2.6 miles (4.2 km) and maximum was 4.9% for about 300 feet (91 m). The line was shut down in December of 2001 by Norfolk Southern due to economic reasons. As of 2023, Saluda Grade is proposed to become a rail trail. Photos were taken on Monday ( 05/27/2024 ).
Happy Memorial Day to all of our followers and to all of the railroad companies! We hope you all have a wonderful day!

We are excited to help the N&W Roanoke Division Model Railroad with their decoder upgrades for their steam locomotives! Our first locomotive for upgrades is N&W #2200 2-8-8-2 Y6b made by Broadway Limited with Parogon 2. We are switching to TCS WOW Sound for better performance and sound. Speakers are being upgraded as well with 2x Scale Sound System speakers with excellent sound quality. The next video will be the test run after the process is done.
NS M54 ( Extra 154 is from Irondale, AL - Linwood, NC ) makes a northbound run in Central, SC after swapping crews in downtown Central, SC due to time running out for the previous crew.
As repairs and upgrades continue on, here is our recently added coal train we got from a friend that is getting rid of most of his collection away. These old coal have been through alot over the years and are getting upgrades for better running performance. We have recently replaced all plastic dummy couplers with metal scale couplers for better coupling performance and soon we will be upgrading wheels soon as well. We did a test run and the train is running very well with the new couplers. Now in the real world of railroading, you would see locomotives pulling and pushing on loaded/empty coal trains, we will be putting this train to the test this afternoon. Please enjoy and have a great day!
It has been a while since ce we have posted any videos on the page but here is one for you folks! As some upgrades go on in rolling stock and locomotives, we will be sharing our newest collection of trains for you on the layout. Here we see a met up of two trains here in Panther, VA on the N&W Roanoke Division Layout with a autorack train meeting a Intermodal train with UP power and NS power. For now the switches are power by using power toggles for switching trains to different directions on the layout but soon in the near future, the layout will see a computer upgrade with working signals and switches controlled by a operating dispatcher from the computer screen but that will be a while to come!
