Dear Signal Mountain Football Family,

I am Coach Mark Mariakis, the newly appointed Head Football Coach at Signal Mountain High School. I will also oversee the Middle School Football program. I am thrilled about the future of SM Football!

We have scheduled a Community meeting on Tuesday, January 30th, starting at 6:30 PM, in the High School Theater. This meeting is for students in the 5th - 11th grade and their families interested in learning about our football program, the new "EAGLE UP" culture, and the main focus of our program. Those who attended the Community meeting last week can also attend this one. We will discuss both our Middle School and High School programs. At this meeting, I will share both the HS and MS program's season calendars.

If your child is interested in playing football at Signal Mountain HS or MS, I urge you to attend. This is also the time to add your child's name to our roster, and they will receive future communications. We will use this roster also to collect players' shirts and short sizes, uniform numbers, etc…

We hope to see everyone on Tuesday, January 30th at 6:30 PM in the HS Theater!

❤️❤️🏈🏈🖤🖤 It’s FOOTBALL time on Signal Mountain! Tonite is our first High School game of the season, and it’s in the NEST! 🦅

🎶🥁🎷🎼We cannot wait to cheer on our Eagles, and hear the debut of Signal Corps “Toxic” performance.

▶️Eagle Walk is at 6:20
▶️Kick-Off is at 7:30

🍔🌭🍿🍫🍡🍦 The concession stand will have hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches and tons of fun treats! We’ve even heard rumors of gourmet popsicles being available to purchase as well!

📣📣📣 Come one, come all!
Your only requirement is to cheer loud for our Eagles!

URGENT: This year’s Homecoming Parade is at serious risk of being canceled!!! Volunteers are desperately needed to help plan and implement the parade. There are currently only 2 volunteers who have stepped forward and neither have kids at Signal anymore. They NEED YOUR HELP!!! Please contact Tifni Herlevich or Laura Duncan if you can help.

And just like that, our final game of the season was Thursday night at Brainerd. We came up a bit short, so there will be no playoffs this year. Our final record was 3-7, but this team was much better than their record indicates. Congratulations to all of our football, cheerleader, and band seniors. Without each of you, Friday night lights wouldn't be the same. Best of luck in all of your future endeavors. Thanks also to all our coaches and parents volunteers. It indeed does take a village! Down by 28 at the half, the Eagles stormed back in the second half and were up 32-28 with 5 minutes to go in Q4. Lost a heartbreaker 35-32. No doubt these seniors will never forget this Senior Night even though it didn't turn out in our favor. One more Home Game next Friday. 7:30 kick-off.
