Upstart Music is a break beat led, independent electronic dance music label based in Sydney, Australia. Launched in early 2008 but label boss & producer/DJ D-Funk it was nominated for 'Best New Label' at the 2009 International Break Beat Awards (Breakspoll). Upstart Music has been picking up fans world wide with a string of original releases from artists Niko & Lyall, Philly Blunt, Crackerz & Jam,
Stuff Ya Disco, Hariku, Alien Nation, Rogue Robots and of course label boss D-Funk. There is also a stellar cast of names on remix duties with Llupa, Zero B, Night Noise, Yoof (Sonz Of Mecha), Council Estate Supermodels, The White Riots, Dirty Inc, Ottone & Stormski all taking up the honours.
