Only slight changes will be made, and in most cases the writer will be consulted. Working with our editors to refine your submission is a lot of fun, and is a part of the creative collaboration that makes each issue of AmPassion Teen so great. Features
If you want to write a feature article for AmPassion Teen, plan according to our upcoming theme. If you have an idea for a feature article you can send us a proposal of about 150-200 words. Proposals should include a thesis of some kind and an explanation of how the piece will explore the theme. We prefer to receive proposals for articles before you start writing. Features are usually expository pieces of about 800 words. Poetry
Submit your poetry related to our upcoming theme, or a poem that expresses who you are! You can submit up to five poems at a time. We prefer poems of under 36 lines, but we’ll always consider excellent exceptions. We are looking for poems that evoke a feeling or a place, where the words come from your heart. Fiction
We are looking for short-short stories of under 1500 words, though we will gladly look at longer pieces that promise to blow us away. We mostly want “literary” fiction, but send us your fantasy or sci-fi if it’s really good and not fan fiction. Send us stories about the things you feel most strongly about. Media Reviews
We invite you to review books, movies, music, and other artistic works that have something to say about each theme. If you’ve read a book or seen a movie recently that spoke to you, send in a 500-800 word review with your opinion and analysis. What happens next? Our editorial team will carefully review your submission. If we are considering your work, you will hear from us in 4 to 6 weeks; and we will make an effort to respond to each piece, even if we do not accept it for publication. If we are not able to use your work don’t be discouraged! Try again! We can’t wait to hear from you and see your work! AmP It Up! Be Passionate. Be Loud. Be Yourself.

As for our Editor-in-Chief, the story below shares her “exciting” story. We truly appreciate those who reached out with their love and support ❤️
