I was appointed as a member of the National Evaluation Panel to nominate a Brunei author to the Annual Southeast Asia Writers Award which is given by the King of Thailand. There are 18 books currently which will be evaluated.

I was invited to be the resource person for the commentary during the live broadcast of the royal wedding and procession on RTB broadcasted live to the world. I was invited in my capacity as the President of the Brunei Historical Society. And Dr Mardiah, the Secretary of the society was invited as the resource person for the Malay broadcast. Alhamdulillah. We were tasked by JPM and BIBD to prepare the content of the Royal Wedding book for the wedding of DYTM Prince Abdul Mateen and YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah a few months ago. We also received permission to interview YAM. The book was given out as part of yesterday’s gifts to all the guests during the Royal Wedding. Thank you to JPM and BIBD for entrusting us.

The book entitled ‘Majlis Ilmu: Mercu Tanda Intelektualisme Raja Kita Suluh Negara’ that we wrote about the history of Majlis Ilmu since 2004 to now and its contributions to government policies took the lime light in newspapers over these last few days. Alhamdulillah. The book was written by Dr Rozan Yunos, Zilah Zulkifli, Badriah Bara, Aqilah Kamaluddin and Qawiemah Karim. The book cover was done by Ajihis Terawih.

While we are busy at ICC, QNPH Editor and in house writer, Jeemah Jefri is the guest of honour at Tutong Sixth Form Centre giving a talk on writing and editing on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day. Jeemah has published two novels, co wrote one and has written and edited other writings for QNPH corporate works.
