The barren and dramatic islands of are truly picturesque. The highlight of this small rocky archipelago can be found on the bigger island of Berlenga Grande, where the old fort of Sao Joao Baptista sits on a small rocky outcrop reachable over a stone bridge.

Being open & exposed to other cultures will change your life. These men played their instruments all night as we ate, & they seemed so happy to do so.
