Senior Season 💫

So thankful for my friend for capturing Sinclair so perfectly. She took photos on my family’s property. It’s so meaningful to me to have pictures of her in my mom’s garden surrounded by plants imported from my grandmother’s garden and photos with my childhood home in the background.

20 years together 💫

“To love someone long-term is to attend a thousand funerals of the people they used to be. The people they’re too exhausted to be any longer. The people they don’t recognize inside themselves anymore. The people they grew out of, the people they never ended up growing into.
We so badly want the people we love to get their spark back when it burns out; to become speedily found when they are lost.
But it is not our job to hold anyone accountable to the people they used to be. It is our job to travel with them between each version and to honor what emerges along
the way.”

—Author Heidi Priebe on loving someone as they change

When Sinclair started Kindergarten, they talked about her being apart of the class of 2026. That sounded insane and so far in the future that we couldn’t fathom it. Somehow that time has arrived. We are excited for what lies ahead.

Rory started Sophomore year and Ozzie cat started second grade 😂he loves these back to school photos.

To the one who made me a mom. Who is a catalyst to make me into a better human. Who challenges me. Who surprises me. Who makes me laugh. I’ve had a front row seat to watch grow up. Love watching you grow up. I’m her biggest cheerleader. I love you, Sinclair. Happy 17th Birthday 🎉

March wrapped up in a hurry. Full of travel and fun!

1-8: Spring Break in the Bahamas 🌴🌊☀️🛥️This trip did not disappoint. We had a the best time staying at the Atlantis. We took an amazing all day boat excursion to swim with sharks, play with the original swimming pigs and experience the beautiful water. The girls got to swim with Dolphins, too. 🐬

9: Tennis season started for Rory. I’m having the best time watching her and her team play. Go Bears! 🎾

10: Sinclair wrapped up her equestrian season. She has the best team members. Can’t wait for next year. 🐎

11: I am spending my days on the tennis court as much as possible. I even got to go play with the high school team a couple of times this month. 🎾

Need a distraction today? Give this a listen and go for a walk

Our episode this week is with (on IG), mom of two teens, author of the new book, Is Everyone Happier Than Me?, and podcast host.

Sarah's humor, combined with her tenderness and strength, lends itself to an incredible conversation.

[LISTEN HERE: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1942334/episodes/16026186]

Some of the topics we explore are these:

*Where her spiritual journey falls into the thoughts that keep her up at night.
*Healthy boundaries with social media. Fostering connection without comparison.
*Building true connection with ourselves, especially if we have spent our lives being told that connection to self was unimportant or wrong.
*The role of play and pleasure in coming back to ourselves.
*Redefining purpose.
*What really matters?
*The valuable role of curiosity.

Our favorite words from this podcast episode were pressure off, play, pleasure, edges, Real Housewives, and 3 am. Find out why when you listen.
