Early voting for the presidential primary begins today in Fitchburg and Lunenburg. Fitchburg early voting is at City Hall, with the schedule of dates/times below. Lunenburg dates/times/locations are also listed below. In addition to the presidential candidates, there is a contested race for Republican State Committee persons, a role to help build and shape the state party. Both registered Republicans and unenrolled voters may pull a Republican ballot to vote in that race, which includes local candidate Mark Bodanza, a Leominster City Councilor, attorney, author, and local historian.

Making "the call" on Election Night 2023

Early/Mail-in votes

596 voters took advantage of early voting in FItchburg. In addition, over 2,100 voters requested mail-in ballots. All early votes and mail in ballots that were received by the end of Wednesday (1,293) were run through the ballot counting machine on Thursday and Friday. Fitchburg City Clerk Joanna Bilotta talks with FLAP TV correspondent Heather DeJesus about the process.
