He ‘discovered’ his purpose when he was 9 years old, living in the bush, in the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains in South Africa. There, while listening to the sounds of Zulu drums, he made a pledge to find a way to have people experience MORE than the prejudice and violence so prevalent in his country. At the age of 13 he was fortunate enough to see the film “Star Wars” and found his true
calling and a means to express what was within him. At the age of 16 he began working in the film industry in South Africa and then made the move to Los Angeles in 1993. Vicente made the permanent move to Writing and Directing in 2001. Hot on the heels of the success of “What the Bleep do we Know”, he set his sights on even more ambitious projects and formed Insight Industries; a company dedicated to creating content designed to move people towards a richer understanding of being human. Insight Industries has strategic alliances and projects with Golden Dragon Arts, Blindspot, Anima Inc., World Ethical Science Foundation and High Seas Entertainment.
