Born to loving parents Joseph La’Mard Wingster
and Anita C. Wingster the first child of three children La’Mard was destined to be the best. In 1972 after the passing of his mother, La’Mard and his siblings moved to Savanna Ga. to live with his grandparents. In 1978 he returned back to New Yorkand attended high school at Dewitt Clinton in the Bronx. Now living with one parent, his role as Mr. Mom w
as an academy award winner. Through his teenage years, Growing up on the Westside of the Bronx was just as tough as the South, so he joined a street gang called the Black Dragons and studied street style Martial Arts. It was in his late teen years when he joined a real karate school,131 Street Community Center in Harlem. There his Martial Arts skills were highly recognized by other grand masters. Unknowingly his love for the Martial Arts and his friendly and lovely personality has put him closer to his goal of becoming an actor. The movie bug hit him when he saw the first Batman Movie in 1989,directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton. His dream of creating his own “Black Super Hero” was beginning to form. With no film experience or school training, La’Mard picked up his skills from auditioning and playing extras on movie sets. Self taught on Directing, Acting, Producing and Editing his own work, his belief in God has given him an open mind to learn more and more every day.His inspirations are The Almighty God, his wife and children, his best friend, Dezel Washington, and Michael Bay.
