The Droplet is a community art magazine with a goal of promoting and displaying creativity and ideas from members of the Providence community. The goal for this project is that ideas would be presented to a wide audience, for creativity to flow between members and into new views, for discussion to take place, and for art to be shared and celebrated. cum project by Alex Holden. Along with sharing art with others he hopes to contribute his own art, media works, and design. The Droplet is hoping to rely on artists and community members to contribute art, ideas, and a little bit of time. If you or someone you know of may be interested in being a part of this project please email the droplet or share your interest with Alex Holden. As for what one might contribute to The Droplet, there are many possibilities. Artworks of traditional mediums (paint, sculptures, sketches, etc.), musical content (including performances), theatre, design, digital art, photography, poetry, writing, film/video, and others are all welcome. If you are also a part of a community group or project that is creatively active in the Providence community, The Droplet would also be happy to feature such work.
