DJ Bruno has been Djing in Boston since 1987. He became known in the college scene in the late 80’s to early 90’s for mixing Hip Hop, Reggae, RnB & House Music. Then in 1991 he began a residency at the Boston Loft after-hours club with Armand Van Helden. In February of 1992 he started the Legendary Utopia Parties.The Utopia parties have featured house music royalty such as Louie Vega, Kerri Chandler, India, Barbara Tucker, Ultra Nate, Byron Stingily, Josh Milan & many more.
On December 16, 2005 he opened up Biscuithead Records (which closed on December 20, 2001). In 2006 Boston Magazine awarded him DJ OF THE YEAR. In 2007 The Weekly Dig awarded Utopia Sundays the BEST HOUSE NIGHT IN BOSTON. In 2012 city councilor Tito Jackson declared December 22, 2012 as DJ BRUNO DAY! On October 22, 2021 he dj'ed The House Party event at Boston's City Hall Plaza. He will be djing for the House Dance Party again on September 9, 2022 from 5pm-8pm on three decks.
