Rimshot is a monthly arts and culture magazine which is visually based and published in digital
format. It focuses on community living, and how arts and culture can benefit communities,
both by boosting positivity and community spirit, and helping people work together in a
way which has been greatly diminished in today’s fast-paced ever connected world. It
also seeks to promote small communities a
nd the opportunities and beautiful scenes they
offer to the visitor and resident alike. Regular features in the magazine include:
Community - A large story feature on a project or group of benefit to its community. Picture This - A visual discovery of a small town or community through photography of that
space and/or its people. Flavour - An illumination of a cafe or restaurant, focusing on both its offerings and service
to its community
Soundboard - A music feature, focusing mostly on local, original live music and the
businesses, organisations and broadcast outlets which support the industry
Art & Soul - Highlighting an artist of any medium who works to promote and support their
community
Fancy Pants - A fashion & beauty feature including a look using clothing and accessories sought from the model’s local area as well as
Fashion Finds highlighting a look put together from second-hand sources
