The 456 Movement started its journey in New York and eventually landed in Australia, ready to take the collective talent of this country and show it to the world. Originally born of a partnership between New York mogul Syn and South Australia’s Dale Haddon (Camira the Rapper), the 456 Movement quickly grew into a platform for emerging artists to connect with other hard working, like-minded individ
uals. Director Dale Haddon has spent the past decade making music and running hip hop shows and rap battles around Adelaide, and it was through his promotion of gigs and battles, he met stacks of talented artists whose music, he felt, needed to be heard. Joining forces with long time friend Michael Prowse, Dale officially launched the 456 Entertainment brand in April of 2017, signing the likes of Adelaide veteran Dos XL, relative newcomers Collide of Scopes (Urmac and Nes), and high energy hip-hop duo Brokeman Squad (Mythz and Gospel). With a hip hop flavour soon to be branching out into other genres of music and entertainment, the label’s mission is to turn passions into careers.
“I’m not about making a dollar off artists; I’m about chasing dreams,” Dale says. “Being an event promoter, I’ve seen a lot of talented performers and I’d like to see more great artists take their music seriously.
“If myself and my team can look to achieve anything, it would be to inspire Aussie artists to take their craft seriously and turn what they love into a career.
