That reminds me of comments by the Prefect of Police (played by Claude Rains) in "Casablanca," in regard to the death of Ugarte (Peter Lorre). "We're not sure if he committed su***de or was shot trying to escape."

In September, 1981, a short story I wrote, "Oops, I Was Wrong About the Afterlife," was published by "The Independent", the Off Campus Student Association at Purdue. (The most wonderful person I've ever known helped in the process of hitting a deadline of midnight.) I finally dug up a copy and hope to have it on my blog & other social media.
