We live in a greedy western culture of gimme gimme and also MASSIVE FOMO. When we live in this state, we don't really care about what it takes to get something.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We also suffocate ourselves with our own expectations and judgements of ourselves, always wanting to get to that destination without enjoying the journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That is stealing from yourself - you are stealing your time on this planet, the time you will never get back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Learn to go inwards rather than the outward experiences that keep us chasing and never getting there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So many of us hold onto the past like it still exists.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wanting to go back to change an outcome. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This will never happen…sad I know, but a fact of life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, what we must do is learn to release these emotions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They keep us stuck in a repetitive cycle of ‘if only’ or ‘what if’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is so unhealthy for our energetic body, it’s drains the life force energy out of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Causes chronic illnesses to manifest, causes breakdowns of relationships, causes the breakdown of the self… ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The self being YOU.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We must try and release our past, we must try and disconnect the emotions that are attached to the memory.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We must do this in order for us to move on, live in the now, and to be at one with yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We do this by making small changes to our lives every day, baby steps, changing a morning routine to something positive.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Removing negative influences from our lives.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Being firm with our boundaries.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Learning to unlearn everything we thought we knew and start right back at the beginning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not many people will commit to this, but when you do, you learn to love the past and everything it taught you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You learn to not look back with sadness, but with an understanding that you did all you could with what you had. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You were your best version of yourself at that time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One year apart and 2 stone of my well earned chub gone

I like curves, especially a b***y 🍑😂 (I used to be skinny and lanky growing up 😂) but I was getting out of hand last year and was determined to be fit at 4️⃣0️⃣

I’m leaner, stronger internally and mentally now, I lost my way for a year after Meg passed, but knew I couldn’t keep that behaviour up. So I reinvented myself and have not looked back 🙋🏼‍♀️

It’s never too late to reinvent yourself and start over, I’ve done it so many times over my life and it’s part of your growth. If you stay the same you become stale and unhappy internally. We are made to adapt and life gives us opportunities to do this and cream the best of out of it ❤️

Chuck on your big panties and show the world what you are made of, it’s a pretty special place to live if you allow it to happen 🌈💛

Outdoor classes will always be donation only (whatever you can afford) as we are practicing in mother nature’s back yard and I want yoga to be accessible to everyone 💛

Classes are weather dependent so could change days with the weather. But I will keep up to date with The weather and make sure I update accordingly 😊️

This time last year, I furthered my cooking skills and started on the bread making journey.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gave birth to a sourdough starter called susie and she’s one year old this month and I’ve had so many good loaves of bread out of her and it keeps getting better 💚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been cooking and baking for people this last few months and I feel so blessed that people enjoy my food, cooking is my therapy, my healing tool, my release from life and the pains.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Next month I get to bring you yoga with food, this is something I’ve wanted to do since last year 😍 the first group session is gonna be a good one, yoga and stuffing our faces after 😍

I’m not planning my cooking journey just enjoying the ride of cooking and people just enjoying it💚

🌝Have you heard of Abraham Maslow or maybe his hierarchy of needs?

His paper was called - A theory of human motivation. Maslow was a psychologist and this paper was published back in 1943 and is still a widely respected academic and business paper.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maslow has been a big inspiration on my journey; I have studied his concept and incorporated it into my life and my studies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is my take on the triangle of needs, my core offering:

💫FOOD - Healthy, clean and nutritious

💫YOGA - The joining of the mind, body and soul

💫HEALING - Learning to heal our traumas, insecurities, childhood sadness.

The learning to love our flaws, to see our vessel as a beautiful carrier of our soul.

Understanding our internal speak, just saying yes to things we always say no to, and just being true to who we really are.

My vegan take on “Turkish Eggs” 💚

Tofu scrambled eggs
Fresh tomatoes

One down one to go 🎉🙌🏻

I’m now officially a fully qualified yoga teacher had my certification and fully registered, it’s been the best journey the last four months, I’ve learned so much ❤️

Just finish my degree in two months and then I’m a free woman 🙌🏻😍

After 7 years of studying in total, I cannot believe it’s finally coming to an end. I’ve not had the easiest of journeys to get to this point.

But I’ve have determination and a strong mindset to push past all the barriers and emotions along the way 🙏🏻

An end of era is fast approaching and I cannot wait for the next phase of my life 💛

Here’s to surrendering to the unexpected and embracing the journey 😍

🎉 C E L E B R A T E • Y O U R • W I N S 🎉

I did it 🥲 I just finished and submitted my final exam, this weeks been tough (anxiety and feeling low missing Meg so much) but I took two days off social media, ate gorgeous food, done some much needed self-care 🙏🏻

Just had a massive happy cry and give myself a massive hug. I’ve worked my ass off this last two months, done four jobs 🙈😂 uni degree and also a 200 hour YTT course ❤️ (bit extreme I know) 😂

But if you want something bad enough you just have to work hard for it and believe in yourself ❤️

Also shaved nearly 2 stone of weight this last four months 😍 feeling good in mind body and soul right now ❤️

Thank you everyone who’s supported yoga classes over the last two months, you’ve been amazing to teach 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘 xx

Behind every smile is a soul dealing with the battles that life puts in front of them. 💛

Being kind to others even when they have done you wrong or even when you are feeling so broken inside, will help you to fill your life with compassion and love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Compassion and love can spark your mindset shift, it doesn't come overnight; it takes time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You go to the gym, train your muscles. Grow them biceps or get some junk in your trunk, that doesn't come in an instant that takes hard work and dedication. You see little gains as you progress and then one day, your hard work pays off, and you have achieved your goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mindfulness works the same way; you have to train your brain daily just like you would the other muscles in your body. Mindfulness practices such as gratitude and kindness are a great place to start if you want to rewire your brain and spark new cells to fire.

Imagine if you started today, and then you look back in six months at how far you have come, you would be amazed just like you would when you achieve that butt or your biceps. 😉

Empathy is a reaction to witnessing pain in another being without any protection or buffer; it can overwhelm us and cause us to shut down.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Compassion is the active wish to ease suffering; it protects us from the overwhelm and stops us from shutting down. If there were only empathy we would use all our stores of energy and eventually burnout, compassion is the buffer, and it makes the pain more bearable and protects from burnout.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mindfulness and compassionate living should play an important role in our daily lives. Learning to live mindfully and showing compassion to other living beings will fill our hearts, helping us feel lighter internally and externally.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We currently live in a strange time, where there is a considerable amount of control and restriction in our daily lives and the world around us right now. But, to change our outer world, we must first learn to nurture our internal world and plant seeds of compassion that will flourish, allowing us to grow and then bloom.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You see, we do not need the outer world to change our inner world, we must do that ourselves, and then our outer world will fall into place and bloom just like our inner world.

Mindfulness simply means paying attention, Jon Kabat-Zinn's workings explains mindfulness as awareness, cultivated by paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment and nonjudgmentally. One of the many forms of meditation is

How we systematically regulate our attention and energy.

Influencing and possibly transforming the quality of our experience.

Practising mindfulness non judgementally is not easy. We can force ourselves to pay attention, but we can’t force ourselves to be non-judgemental.

We can practice these attitudes daily with our loved ones and strengthen the energy around the practice.

There is so much value in repetition; it can trigger new cells in our brains to fire, learning to expand our awareness around these attitudes allows us to change how our brain fires and how cells connect. The saying goes “cells that fire together, wire together” and having a daily mindfulness practice can literally rewire your brain and change your life.
