Make days at the seaside even more enjoyable with the fab ideas on our shopping page in our latest issue…
Summer holiday success is often based on hurriedly rushing from one holiday club to another, with the odd day out in between work and household chores. In today’s rapidly moving society, boredom is often viewed negatively as something to be avoided. However, recent studies from the Child Mind Institute suggest that children expressing boredom can actually be beneficial – for both the child and the parent. Find out more in our latest issue…
When we think of summer, visions of longer, warmer days, filled with family activities such as visits to the beach, barbecues and day trips come to mind. We dream of summer days with less structure, less demands and a sense that time can stretch out before us, free of the constraints of scheduling and deadlines. While this is all well and good, the lack of structure and routine during this period can also leave us feeling unbalanced and dysregulated. Find out more in our latest issue…

🔴 Manchester United v Rangers 🔵
Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Saturday 20 July 2024, KO 4pm
Manchester United and Rangers will face-off for the first time in over a decade, as the sides head to Edinburgh this July!
Following last year’s hugely successful spectacle at the home of Scottish Rugby, which saw Manchester United beat French side Olympique Lyonnais in front of nearly 50,000, the ‘Red Devils’ will return to Edinburgh to challenge Scottish league title record holders Rangers.
The fixture marks United’s first match against Rangers since a UEFA Champions League group stage game in 2010. In this last meeting of the clubs, United beat Rangers 1-0 thanks to a late Wayne Rooney strike.
The match will set the tone for what’s ahead for the new season, giving Scottish fans the chance to see their heroes on the pitch and the chance for the clubs to debut new signings, new tactics, and new kits.

Ancient Egypt always has a special way of capturing the imagination of children. In our latest issue we’re sharing an extract on the Land of Pharaohs from Factology’s Ancient Egypt book…
Join Odyssea at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from July 31st - August 4th
This dance-on-film follows the epic journey of Odyssea, a curious sea traveler, as she encounters flora and fauna in fantastical realms.
New York-based Quicksilver Dance perform with only their hands, painted to become vibrant characters. Featuring original music and biomorphic landscapes made from sculptures and fabric, Odyssea offers a feminist take on the concept of an odyssey: she makes her way by helping fellow travelers, building relationships and trading, rather than through the mythologically typical approaches of strength, trickery or intrigue.
“Odyssea is clever, vibrant, and poignant storytelling captured at its very best.” – Louise Penn, Brighton Fringe reviewer. In-person screening includes the 30-minute film plus a 15-minute Q&A with the artists.
Odyssea is also available to stream on-demand throughout the Fringe.
Excellent for kids of all ages! “WOW, we just loved it! The kids were so, so engaged the entire time.” – Audience review, mother of five.
