The Photography Society is open to all students who are interested in photography, and will help improve and showcase the work of UWL students. It is the vision on the society to support and develop its members knowledge and creative approaches to both the photographic environment and in life. This society will serve as a base in which members can step confidently from the lecture room to thinking
and working for themselves. Through a the society's dynamic and active structure we will offer tutorials of everything from equipment to technique, along with an open database allowing both its members to find opportunities and for the university, departments and students to find photographers for their own events and advertising needs. The society will also host its own events and completions to showcase our members and explore the world of photography beyond the university and London. To make this an open society with an aim to give all we can to our members our membership is free for all photographic students and not wanting to depended solely on SU funding and we would like to create within the society a means of merchandising. Whether that be professional head shots for graduates or greeting cards and calendars. Ideally this will give encouragement to our members to sell their talents and gain revenues to do more educational events and trips to give more the members.
