Have been knee deep in author research for a client and stumbled on the following quote by Robert Greene. 📖

This was so rewarding!

On Point Spa is just beginning on their social media journey and enlisted my help in putting together their strategy. I evaluated their business goals, current landscape and brand identity in order to provide them with a roadmap to move forward.

Have you “SEEN” this?!

Truer words were never spoken Dolly - and the women in this room knew SO MUCH.

This year’s SEEN event was in celebration of ‘Extordinary Women’ in Metro Detroit, and it was awesome to be in the company of such accomplished females from the local area.

Their speeches were incredible and several themes prevailed as the six of them spoke throughout the morning

Overall, the conference was thought provoking, inspiring and just the refuel needed to refocus and realign my goals. I know my “area of genius” and I also know that leaning into those stronger in other capacities is not just a good idea, but a necessity.

One of my favorite aspects of social media management is helping clients create a brand identity. Whether you have some of the pieces or are starting from scratch, it is exciting to tie it all together! 🎀

Developing a unique visual concept, including a logo, color palette, typography, and imagery that aligns with your values and speaks to your target audience is a fun and creative process. Plus, there is nothing more satisfying than watching it all come to life post by post! 💕

Happy International Women's Day!

In the early days of my career I worked as a consultant in a large accounting firm that, for its time, was leading the pack in equality in the workplace. As time moved on and I left the once "traditional career path" it became clear to me that if I were to stay working and fulfill my all my other roles as wife, mother, friend, daughter etc. I did not necessarily need a job with equality, but one with EQUITY and flexibility.

Fortunately, in the freelance community I have found an abundance of what I was hoping for. A profound understanding that "people start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action." (IWD 2023 campaign theme)

Daily I see countless numbers of women lifting each other up on social media platforms - designing courses, coaching & collaborating with one another regardless of background, age, race or location. As I look to the future for my two daughters I am encouraged that perhaps they will have a better environment to balance all of life's pursuits than I did. That there will be an understanding that different starting points, experiences and aspirations require a different way of working so that ultimately we can find true equality for all.

Isn't this AI portrait interesting?! I created it thru the app Lensa by uploading some of my headshots...

AI in general is a hot topic in the social media world - while the tools can be wildly helpful to increase your productivity and cure writer's block in a flash, they can also be a quick way to appear un-authentic (GASP 😱) and inaccurate in your data and findings.

It seems the tools are becoming smarter by the second - earlier I was testing out full AI generated reels - but with that also comes an air of caution. Be sure to always use AI generated info as a starting point - not a final submission. Remember that any data captured by a bot could potentially compromise users' privacy or security.
