Thunderstorms are gradually intensifying to our west. A severe weather potential will increase across our I-39 corridor counties through 5-6 AM. Damaging winds and hail are the main threats, but a tornado or two can’t be ruled out. Have multiple ways to get warnings if they’re issued!

[10:30 AM 4/4] A large cluster of storms is tracking eastward through northern Illinois this morning, with previous reports of destructive winds (in excess of 75 mph) and very large hail (over 2 inches) in the Davenport, Iowa area. It is expected to move east into the orange shaded area over the next couple of hours.

The potential for strong tornadoes is focused today over the mid/upper Mississippi Valley and tonight over parts of the Ozarks to the ArkLaTex region. Meanwhile, multiple large, dangerous, and fast-moving wildfires are likely across the southern and central Plains.
