Music You Can't Hear On The Radio Sundays 6:00-8:00 PM Eastern
WPRB-103.3 FM & WPRB.com everywhere.

At 6:00 AM on a Monday morning in January 1974, I opened my first radio show on WPRB with Pete Seeger singing "If I Had A Golden Thread." Later that year, I moved to Sundays evenings and am happy and amazed to still be on the air at from 7:00-10:00 pm most weeks. In a New York Times profile of the show, the late Iver Peterson said it was "some perfection aimed at people who like their folk music l

aced with rock-and-roll or march music or country or anything else that will create and maintain an appropriate theme"

This Sunday will be my final radio show before I begin a summer vacation from it. As usual, I have too many ideas about what to leave in and what to leave out, but it feels like it should be a good show. See for yourself (Listen for yourself?) from 6:00-8:00 pm on WPRB 103.3 FM and WPRB.com. News about when the show returns in the fall will be posted here and at veryseldom.com.

And check out WPRB's summer programming schedule which gets underway on June 1st.

Tonight’s Music You Can’t Hear On The Radio will be the penultimate program in WPRB’s Spring Membership Drive. It will include The Ballad Of The Sandman, Mike Agranoff’s compelling recitation about great radio and the World Premiere of an exciting reworking of a 1964 Pete Seeger song by Andy Antipin and Friends.

Tune in if you can from 6:00-8:00 pm and make tonight the time to show your support for WPRB at

Our dear friend, revered singer and songwriter Paul Siebel passed peacefully this morning, April 5th, 2022. Paul’s timeless songs were recorded by David as well as by Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Jeff Walker and others – in short, people who recognized great songwriting. “Louise”, “Anyday Woman”, “Spanish Johnny”, “She Made Me Lose My Blues” are just a few of the highlights from Paul’s repertoire. Paul made three albums, all of which are still available for download or streaming. You can get a taste of Paul’s music here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nzByFLCUYMFK9InYbFbd5IM55bMMfhePU
