Q0. If you are entirely new to YoloBox, feel free to watch some YouTube unboxings, demonstrations, reviews and tutorials:

Q1. the second HDMI In doesn’t capture the video sources?
Please note that there is a difference in each HDMI’s digest capability. HDMI 1 takes up to 1080P60 while HDMI 2 takes up to 1080P30 (USB takes up to 1080P30)
For example, if you set the camera on 1080P60 and connect with HDMI 1 that works, it will not work on HDMI 2.
Q2. Microphone doesn’t work?
Our Audio In port is intended for mixers and lavalier microphones(therefore it will not work with those who are not battery wired or self-powered)
Q3. 4G SimCard doesn’t work? Block the second HDMI In?
In some regions, you can just insert a 4G sim card to YoloBox then you’ll have 4G internet connection . However in the regions that we are not certain, we provide an external dongle/modem in the package(some of our competitors charges $200 for this).
In this case, you’ll need to insert the SimCard into the dongle/modem correctly first, then you’ll need to insert the dongle/modem into the USB port. To prevent from blocking the HDMI, we provide an L shape adapter in the package.
We tested in major countries and major carriers that all have worked. So far the majority of the issues reported are due to the mis-operation by customers on certain procedures, or the wrong YoloBox setting. (1, Make sure it’s the data plan includes call time and texts, not just internet traffic; 2, Insert correctly; 3, Settings; turn of WiFi or reset network connection)
Q4. Recent YouTube streaming issues (the latest update has already solved this.)
After the last week’s updates on YouTube’s direct integration, we do have some feedback on the error messages they received. Currently we have a dedicated team looking on this and hopefully will have a fix via an update(before 20 June 2020). For the time being, if you are experiencing those issues, here are our suggestions for quick self-fix:
For ‘refresh token error’, we suggest you delete the account in the Setting page and add/bind again. This will work for most cases.
For the ‘Publish fail error’, we suggest you to swipe right and disconnect YouTube and connect YouTube again. This will work for most cases.
For the ‘Publish error due to exceeding quota’, As YoloBox customers grew day by day, we have reached YouTube’s daily quota for sharing. We are applying for a quota increase from YouTube. Hopefully to receive approval by this Friday. June 26, 2020.
If the issue still persists, we suggest you stream to YouTube via RTMP(that always works). See tutorial below.

Q5. Can I adjust the bitrate?
We currently use a VBR approach for bitrate which will automatically adjust accordingly.. Theoretically there is no limit. However we’ll suggest to stream with under 10,000 kbps. We are also adding an option for the bitrate setting soon.
For more, visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_bitrate
Q6. The stream is recorded in separate 10 minute clips
Like a lot of cameras, that will stop recording after a certain amount of time, YoloBox applies the same product logic to prevent damage of the whole video to protect your content, if anything occurs. We could actually add an option for recording continuously without the 10 minute separation via a software update.
Q7. Can I have transitions when switching? Can I have different modes of PiP? Can I have lower-thirds templates? Can I connect my phone wirelessly?
Those will be the additional software features our engineering teams are developing. Some are about to be released soon. You can then simply click download to have the free updates.
Q8. How can I output a clean HDMI video?
We have a HDMI LoopThrough option in the streaming page for clean HDMI output.
Q9. YoloBox is not reading pictures and videos from an SD card?
Please make sure the SD card is in FAT 32 format and pictures are PND format.
Q10. How to connect YoloBox with GoPro/iPhone/PC/Drones?
For GoPro: Please connect with HDMI(Micro to Standard) and also make sure you have the right setting on GoPro Output(Choose Live in Preference/Output)
For iPhone: You’ll need an USBC converter to HDMI. (iPhone as a mirror display, not just camera capture)
For PC: You’ll need a HDMI(Output to HDMI In) to Yolobox with HDMI In.
For Drones:
Q11. I can not update the software?
Normally it’ll take one or two minutes for the software update. Please make sure that you have a working internet. Try switching to Ethernet/WiFI/4G/Hotspot if your update is not progressing as it should be. Also you can try restarting our device. The important thing is, make sure the internet connection is stable.
Q12. I can not live stream to a Facebook Group?
Before streaming to Facebook Group, you’ll need a certain setting on that group to make it right. Please see below for step-by-step tutorials.
