Winter Math Write the Room…
My kindergarteners are obsessed with Write the Room activities. I love that it gets them moving while they are learning!
Here’s how the math edition works:
1️⃣Print and laminate the mitten numbers.
2️⃣Give students clipboards and the recording sheets.
3️⃣Students travel around the room to find the numbers. They must say the number name and trace it on the sheet.
This is just one of 5 Write the Room activities included in my Winter Centers Bundle. There’s also one for uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and two Winter Words editions.

January Family Homework is going home today...
If you’re new around here, each month I send home a family project. The best part is that your students and their grownups do the work together at home, and you’ve got an instant bulletin board for the month!
This month’s theme is Chillin’ With My Gnomies - Decorate a Gnome at Home. Simply print the parent letter, attach one of the gnome templates, and send it home. When your students bring their gnomes back, allow them to share. Then, display the gnomes with the included bulletin board letters.
There are bonus differentiated gnome writing templates included as well to create a class book.
This resource may also be completed in class if you do not wish to send it as homework.
Thanks to Marcy @joyfulkindergarten for the inspiration for this resource and for sharing how it turned out. It looks AMAZING!

Gingerbread Write the Room was a success!
Here’s how to do this activity in your classroom:
1. Print and laminate the picture cards, and place them around the room.
2. Print the recording sheets.
3. Give students clipboards for the recording sheets, and allow them to move throughout the room to find the cards.
4. When they find each card, they write the word next to the matching picture clue.
I also laminated an extra set of cards to make a memory game for the next day.
This resource includes this set along with Gingerbread Write the Room activities for uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers 1 to 20.
