We are counting down the days until summer in Kindergarten! 🏖️

I created this fun bulletin board to celebrate our final days together. It includes all the decor you see here PLUS a beach ball writing flip craft.

You can use the 20 numbered beach balls to count down your last days. Use only the numbers you like - if you prefer a shorter countdown, use 1 to 10. Print, laminate, and write a special reward on the reverse side - parachute day, chalk day, or watercolors day.

Butterfly Word Families…

This spring activity is perfect for working on rhyming and encoding with your kindergarteners.

It integrates phonemic awareness skills, phonics, fine motor skills, art, symmetry, and fun in one engaging activity.

Choose from 28 word families in two differentiated formats. Have your students produce four rhyming words, tap the sounds, and write one word in each wing of the butterflies.

I have my students use Dot Art to create their symmetrical designs, and they turn out so bright and beautiful! Display with the included letters that read “Spread Your Wings and Rhyme!”

You can copy a second set onto card stock and laminate the pages to create an instant write and wipe Writing Center.

Were you off today for the eclipse?

My three kids had the afternoon off along with a lot of neighboring districts because we were in the path of totality. My school was in session all day though. I had a lot of kids absent, but we had a great day! Swipe to see what we did to celebrate the solar eclipse day in kindergarten.

Thank you

"It's Raining Ten" is a fun April activity focused on number decomposition and making a ten. Students create the umbrella craft and place a total of ten raindrops on the sides of the umbrella handle. They write a matching addition equation to show their work. This is a perfect math lesson for teaching the different combinations that equal ten.

April Family Homework…

Each month, I send home a fun family homework project that students and their families complete together. When they return the project, the kids share their finished projects with their classmates in the author’s chair.

The best part of this assignment is that you’ve got an instant bulletin board or door decorated for the month - no mess, no stress!

April’s theme is “Our Class is EGG-cellent!” The resource features a parent letter explaining the directions, 5 egg decorating templates, and 6 differentiated writing templates.

You’ll also get a class book and tons of bulletin board decor including borders, large colored eggs, and letters in a variety of sizes.

This resource is sold separately or as part of my Growing Family Homework Bundle that includes one project for each month!

Happy March! Here’s our family homework project for the month…

I send home the parent letter along with a clover. Each student will complete the sentence prompts on the four leaf clover.

When the kids return the projects, they share them with their classmates. I display the clovers with the included bulletin board letters and decor for the perfect March / St. Patrick’s Day Bulletin Board.
