This was actually a slow year for me, with December and August being two months that I usually play the most being very busy. 2024 is a year of new challenges. I am shooting for my usual, 50 new games played 2x each. And shooting for 800 plays.

We ended 2023 with 2 matches using 4 new to our table characters in Unmatched by

Game 1 the Raptors swarmed Spiderman and relentlessly took him down.

In Game 2 Dr Strange and She Hulk went toe to toe with She Hulk prevailing in a close battle.

On to 2024 and the first convention of the year tomorrow.

Winding down the gaming year with some Dec 30th gaming. Crys and I played Run Fight or die, Battle Line, and two games of Basketball Highlights Crunch Time

First time either of us played Basketball Highlights Crunch Time. It's a fun little two play tug of war. Although themed around Basketball, no knowledge of the sport is needed.

Stockpile is probably one of my favorite games, but when teaching it at this year I realized only half of the Continuing Corruption Expansion Forecast module was in the box. And nothing else was. I lucked out to find a sealed copy as this game is apparently not coming back anytime soon.

If you have a chance to try it I highly recommend this game.

Long time since I posted but it has been an interesting few months. Just wanted to draw some attention to the game I am learning, and the place I got it.

I was in Winnipeg going to play a game of Weimar, when I stopped in at to have a peak, and this beautiful game box sat there in the display waiting to be learned and taught. I could not resist.

Also got Skull, Guild of merchant explorers, and most importantly, they gave me a nice big box I could use to give my niece a present in. She loves My Little Scythe by so I got the expansion, but wanted to hide it in a box within a box within a box. It was a huge hit on Christmas day.

Check out Victory Pints if you are in Winnipeg though. You will not regret it.

Long time no post, a lot has been going on. Tonight, for my 157th unique game, and 53rd new to me game of 2023, we played Sky Team

Sky team is a cooperative game for 2 with minimal communication. The players are pilot and co pilot, working together to safely prep their plane for a landing. Each round the players can plan a vague idea of what they want to do, then once the dice are rolled, no talking.

Whether deploying the landing gear, applying the brakes, or getting runway cleared, you must get the plane ready to go before your altitude reaches the ground. The gsme comes with several different airports and modules you can use to keep the game fresh.
