Planning a visit to Wales? You’ll fall in love with this elegant countryside retreat in the heart of St Davids. Originally built in 1884 by the Church in Wales as a vicarage, the property sits on the site of an old longhouse farm and is a beautiful example of high Victorian architecture in the romantic Tudorbethan style.

We stayed in one of the most peaceful rooms, with sweeping views over the gardens and the lush valley beyond — a setting that feels like a quiet escape from the world. The house offers seven charming ensuite bedrooms and a stylish ground floor suite, each designed with little luxuries: soft towels, comfy slippers, robes, a mini safe, luxe toiletries, digital radio, TV, and a coffee maker — everything you need for a cosy and indulgent stay.

Our morning began with a delicious breakfast buffet followed by a relaxing woodland walk through the serene grounds. Whether you’re after history, tranquility, or a touch of boutique comfort in one of the UK’s most beautiful corners, this hidden gem in St Davids is pure magic.

We went to visit our friends in Birmingham and spent the whole day here! A taste of Kerala with a modern twist in a beautiful space.
This is a friend’s Kerala restaurant and the food was so good! We tried a range of dishes and loved the flavours.
