Is traveling in an EV getting more expensive? This trip was definitely the most expensive EV trip we have ever taken. Haven’t tallied up the total, but between using the Tesla chargers and some more expensive stops in Colorado the cost is probably close to what we would have spent in a gas car.

What do you think, are you seeing the cost of DC Fast charging increase? Do you care? If taking a trip in an EV costs the same as gas, will you still drive an EV?

The 2024 Charged EV+RV Rally is a wrap! We had a fantastic time at . We shared adventure stories, hit up happy hour and the pool, and spent time with the best people!

The longest distance traveled this year to get to the Rally was 2,300 miles towing with an EV! We can’t wait for next year!

This was our first big towing trip with an EV. We THOUGHT it would work, but we weren’t really sure. 🤣 But, we’re up for an adventure…so we went from Lincoln, NE to Rapid City, SD.

Now we have thousands of miles towing with an EV under our belt and have towed at least 6 different combinations of EVs and trailers.

There is a lot of “good luck with that” out there on the internet…but in the real world the people we run into a curious and impressed to hear how far we’ve traveled.

Just out there proving it can be done one trip at a time!

Welcome! We are the Krivolavek family and we love to explore. We’ve been avid RVers since 2016 and love to explore. We’ve traveled all over the Midwest and expand our travels more each year. In 2020 we decided to make the switch to sustainable transport, which meant learning to tow with an electric vehicle.

Now we are sharing our journey as we tow our travel trailer with our Tesla Model X. We share performance stats, miles & destinations traveled, and exactly how it works to tow with an EV. We’d love for you to join us on our journey as we learn to explore sustainably.
