The Four Cornered Universe accepts short fiction and poetry. The majority of pieces you'll find on our site might be classified as speculative, science fiction, fantasy, satirical, or experimental, though occasionally we publish general literary stories. If you've created compelling characters or insightful prose, we would be more than happy to consider it for publication. Submissions are consider
ed on a rolling basis, and you should expect to hear back from us within a month. We accept previously unpublished authors as well as established ones. The author retains all rights to his or her work. At this time, we do not provide financial compensation for accepted pieces; we simply provide authors with a place to showcase their talents and promote their writing. However, the site remains free for anyone to access, not requiring subscriptions or any kind of contest entry fees. Hopefully that’s a fair trade for now.
