Robert Liston (1794-1847) was a Scottish surgeon who is most famous for amputating a patient's leg in under 2.5 minutes, operating so quickly that in the process also amputated the fingers of his assistant and slashed the coat tails of a spectator, who dropped dead from sheer terror. Both the patient and his assistant later died from gangrene, making it the only recorded operation with a 300% mortality rate.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Madam Koi Koi is a ghost in Nigerian and African urban legend who haunts dormitories, hallways and toilets in boarding schools at night, while in day schools she haunts toilets and students who come to school too early or leave school late.

She is often depicted wearing a pair of red heels or wearing a single heel. One of such legends or myths is the legend of Madam Koi Koi.
No one knows exactly when the story started but the story of a ghost female teacher with red high heels has haunted boarding schools in Nigeria for decades.

This is the legend of Madam Koi Koi. There are several stories but this is the most popular one. Once upon a time there was a beautiful teacher in a secondary school at Aba, Saint Maria located at Holloway CRESCENT

It was also said she was very nasty to students and would beat them up for no given reason. You could say she was hated.

Sometimes she will write on the on the school chalkboard, I will be coming tomorrow.

Legend has it that she was feared when she slapped a female student and injured her ear. On her journey back home, Madam Koi Koi was involved in an accident and died.

Before she died she swore that she would have her revenge on the school and its students. According to legend her grave was chain but madman unchain it making it possible for her to continue to hunt her student.

Not too long after, students of the secondary school said at night they would hear a ‘Koi Koi’ sound in the hallways of their dormitories after lights out, almost like the clicking of heels on a floor.

Till today this story persists. It is said Madam Koi Koi only comes out at night to haunt students. The stories have gone beyond one secondary school to other secondary schools in Nigeria.

Is there really a story about the ghost of a female teacher haunting students or is this a tale made up by teachers to discourage students from wandering during lights out?

Was She Real?
So, the tale then was that she or rather her restless spirit goes from school to school tutoring students.

What’s your take ?

Bitcoin Will Hit A New All-Time High In 4 Months’, Says Seasoned Market Analyst

In the dynamic world of crypto, predicting the next big surge or dip can be daunting. However, seasoned cryptocurrency analyst and trader Kevin Svenson, known for his insightful analyses and substantial YouTube following, has recently made a bold forecast regarding the future trajectory of Bitcoin (BTC).
Historical Correlation Between the Stock Market and Bitcoin
Svenson’s primary focus in his latest analysis is the intriguing connection between the S&P 500 index and Bitcoin’s price movements. The S&P 500, a benchmark index representing 500 of the largest U.S. companies, has historically been a precursor to Bitcoin’s major price milestones.
Svenson highlights this pattern, particularly during the periods following Bitcoin’s halvings – significant events in the Bitcoin world where the reward for mining new blocks is halved, effectively reducing the rate at which new bitcoins are generated.
The 2016 and 2020 Halvings: A Retrospective Analysis
Svenson draws attention to the second Bitcoin halving in 2016. He points out that shortly after the S&P 500 index climbed to new heights, Bitcoin followed suit, marking a new all-time high about seven months later. A similar pattern unfolded during the third halving in 2020, solidifying the notion that movements in the stock market can be a precursor to significant shifts in Bitcoin’s valuation.
The S&P 500 is close to its all-time high of 4,796 points, set in early 2022. In contrast, Bitcoin is trailing, still 40% below its all-time high. Svenson interprets these signs as indicative of an upcoming surge for Bitcoin. Drawing from historical patterns, he suggests that Bitcoin is likely around four to six months away from reaching a new all-time peak, assuming the S&P 500 breaks its record.

Implications for the Crypto Market
Svenson’s analysis offers a ray of hope for crypto enthusiasts and investors. If his predictions based on historical trends hold

Mike the Headless Chicken (April 20, 1945 – March 17, 1947)[1] was a male Wyandotte chicken that lived for 18 months after his head had been cut off, surviving because most of his brain stem remained intact and it did not bleed to death due to a blood clot. After the loss of his head, Mike achieved national fame until his death in March 1947. In Fruita, Colorado, United States, an annual "Mike the Headless Chicken Day" is held in May.

On September 10, 1945, farmer Lloyd Olsen of Fruita, Colorado, United States, was planning to eat supper with his mother-in-law and was sent out to the yard by his wife to bring back a chicken. Olsen chose a five-and-a-half-month-old Wyandotte chicken named Mike. The axe removed the bulk of the head, but missed the jugular vein, leaving one ear and most of the brain stem intact.

Despite Olsen's attempt to behead Mike, the chicken was still able to balance on a perch and walk clumsily. It attempted to preen, peck for food, and crow, though with limited success; his "crowing" consisted of a gurgling sound made in his throat.
When Mike did not die, Olsen decided to care for the bird. He fed it a mixture of milk and water via an eyedropper, and gave it small grains of corn and worms.

If you confess you murdered someone to a priest, your secret is protected by the Catholic law.

Do you know why?

It's because of the concept of "confessional privilege" in Catholic law.

When someone confesses a serious crime like murder to a priest during the sacrament of confession, the priest is bound by strict confidentiality.

This means that they cannot reveal what was said during the confession, even under legal pressure.

It's a deeply held belief within the Catholic Church to respect the sanctity of the confessional and provide a safe space for individuals to seek forgiveness and guidance. I hope this help.
Now follow me let’s stay connected.

Margaret Schilling, a patient at the asylum, disappeared on December 1st and was found dead in an abandoned ward 42 days later. Her body had decomposed, leaving a permanent stain on the floor. Despite numerous attempts to remove it, the stain remains visible, serving as a grim reminder of the past.

The Athens Lunatic Asylum, now known as The Ridges, was a mental health facility that operated from 1874 to 1993. It was part of a movement to reform mental health care, with the goal of providing more humane treatment for patients. However, the asylum was not immune to the problems that plagued many similar institutions, including overcrowding and inadequate care.

Margaret Schilling's death remains shrouded in mystery. Some believe she was playing hide-and-seek with a nurse who forgot about her, while others speculate that she may have had an affair with a male caretaker. Regardless of the circumstances, her death highlights the need for better mental health care and the importance of treating those with mental illness with dignity and respect.

The Ethiopian Bible, believed to be the world's first illustrated Christian Bible, was written on goat skin and created around the early 5th Century CE. Named after the monk Abba Garima, who is said to have copied the text in a single day with divine assistance, the Garima Gospels are beautifully illustrated and well-preserved. The Ethiopian Heritage Fund has contributed to conserving this remarkable relic, which has been kept in the Garima Monastery near Adwa in the Tigray region of Ethiopia ever since its creation.

As far back as 1998, a guy named Emmanuel Nwude orchestrated one of the biggest scams in history by posing as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He assumed the identity of Paul Ogwuma, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria at the time, and successfully reached out to Nelson Sakaguchi, the manager of Banco Noroeste in Brazil and presented an opportunity to invest in the construction of an airport in Nigeria.

He convinced Sakaguchi that by investing in the airport project, Banco Noroeste would receive significant returns. He offered a commission of $10 million to Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi, unaware of the scam, agreed to the deal. Banco Noroeste transferred $191 million in cash to Nwude, and the remaining amount was committed as future interest.

The fraud came to light during a joint board meeting in December 1997 when an official from Santander, a Spanish bank, questioned the large sum of money held by Banco Noroeste in the Cayman Islands. The suspicion triggered criminal investigations in Brazil, Britain, Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United States.

In February 2004, Nwude, along with his accomplices Emmanuel Ofolue, Nzeribe Okoli, Obum Osakwe, Christian Ikechukwu Anajemba, and Amaka Anajemba, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of fraud and bribery.

Nwude and Nzeribe Okoli pleaded guilty after testimony from Sakaguchi and were sentenced to a total of 29 years in prison, with Nwude receiving five consecutive sentences of five years, totaling 25 years.

Nwude's assets were confiscated, and a $10 million fine was imposed, with the intention of returning the funds to the victim and the Nigerian government.

He btw, was released from prison in 2006 and subsequently filed a lawsuit to recover his seized assets, and he did. He recovered $52 million worth of assets, with claims that they had been acquired prior to the offense.

In 2004, when the mayor of Fu***ng, Austria, was asked if he'd change the name of the town, he replied: "Everyone here knows what it means in English, but for us Fu***ng is Fu***ng - and it's going to stay Fu***ng."

The residents of Fu***ng had to deal with a lot of unwanted attention and visitors who come solely to take pictures with the village sign, often stealing it. As a result, the village has taken measures to protect its sign, including using theft-resistant bolts and installing security cameras.

Despite a population of only 106 in 2020, the village has drawn attention in the English-speaking world for its former name, which was spelled the same as a highly popular English word.

The town was renamed to Fugging in 2021.
