Along with the "Overground" new vinyl reissue, we have released this legendary album on 4-track reel tape format, thanks to the incredible work of Mirco Roppolo who hand-crafted these beautiful items recording the music from the masters onto tapes. These reels also include designed labels like the original Rca tapes produced along the 1960s.

A newly restored version of Sandro Brugnolini's original soundtrack for the 1971 telefilm "UTOPIA" is now available on all digital platforms. This timeless Italian Library masterpiece was reissued in 2021, featuring the masterful arrangements of Giorgio Carnini and the studio orchestra direction of Franco Tamponi. The Jazz-Funk and Lounge Jazz session is blended with extraordinary score themes and underground Avant-garde, creating an inspired musical experience. The restored version has been remastered by Jonathan Dakers from the original mono master tapes, ensuring a high-quality listening experience.

THOMAS aka THOMAS E GLI INDEMONIATI is the 1970 anthemic soundtrack written by Maestro Amedeo Tommasi for the movie directed by the legendary Italian director Pupi Avati (author of the Horror masterpiece LA CASA DALLE FINESTRE CHE RIDONO), at the beginning of his career. The film is a super grotesque, psychological and surreal Giallo/Horror, but at the same time a visionary work of this genre, that also sees the first-time appeareance on the screen of a young Mariangela Melato. Due to its ridiculous distribution at the time, it's not easy to find this movie in a decent quality. Now a good quality version is available on Youtube.
The exquisite and refined music composed by Maestro Amedeo Tommasi is just unbelievable and merges elegant Jazz grooves with angular, sinister Psychedelic cues. Two tracks also include the mindblowing scats of Edda Dell'Orso who adds some magical airs on the OST main theme, "Thomas".

Saturday #trackoftheday is with Maestro Claudio Tallino and his masterpiece score from 1976, written for the film "CÀLAMO", directed by Massimo Pirri. A raw and bitter movie, focused on the collaps of illusions, narrated by a great author against the tide. Maestro Tallino, like did for SPELL movie just one year later, composed his soundtrack chasing the thrilling and exasperated atmospheres with a crazy Psychedelic key, sorrounded by tense strings and heavy drums.
The whole soundtrack is both available via our Bandcamp for digital downloading and on digital stores worldwide. The album is also available for licensing via @apmmusic in North America.

What I believe kicked off my interest in these particular types of records was in the winter of 2014 seeing this record in a shop and knowing nothing about it. However, The first thing that stood out about this Sonor re-release was the packaging being a way too intense thick cardboard sleeve that I could barely get the record out of & this continued for a couple of years on this particular copy. I was intrigued by what looked like made-up song titles probably created in the moment of just before sending it off to get pressed like Deep Bass, Fast Bass, Distortion - Mind, Compression. These song names gave small clues that maybe there is more of value in the music itself to bother thinking too long what to call it. So you get to a song like “The Trip” with a rhythm section that to me sounds slightly like a velvet underground groove but with a hammond organ against a single space phased guitar that only repeats the same lead, maybe through a Leslie speaker!
Equally what stood out was all the songs have this obtrusive amazing closed microphone placement. This is the future music that I’d always been looking for. That these mystery records with these minimal uniform looking sleeves could contain such amazing music.
