It is with great sadness that we must tell you of the passing of Orrin E. Brand, professionally known as Mike Jackson from "Mike Jackson Outdoors." Orrin passed away on November 15, 2023 with his loving family by his side.
He was best known for the Mike Jackson Outdoors radio and television shows and his weekly column in the Daily Herald over the last 40+ years. Additionally, he was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, as a Legendary Communicator in 2011.
He traveled the world fishing and hunting and always looked for the best spots to share with his family, friends and colleagues. He will be missed dearly
