Our ultimate mission is to unveil the captivating and long-concealed narrative of the Hawaii Clipper rescue mission, a saga entwined with mystery and intrigue. Our focus centers on 1938 when the Hawaii Clipper vanished with 15 souls on board, sparking our pursuit to uncover the hidden truths. Our investigation points to a hijacking by rogue Japanese agents seeking advanced engines for military aircraft, eventually implicated in the Pearl Harbor attack.
We aim to solve this enigma, repatriate the lost, and provide families closure after decades of uncertainty. Join us in rewriting history and honoring these forgotten lives. The Lost Clipper Team seeks benefactors, contributors, and allies to help us reveal this buried past, ultimately redefining our understanding of a pivotal moment in time.
Our next and final expedition is coming.

Steve Murphy from the Netflix hit show, Narcos, wishing you and yours a safe and joyous holiday!
Happy Holidays from The Lost Clipper and DEA Narcos crew!
Jim Janicki (call sign WB3FMS) has been busy receiving your inquiries via our amateur radio operation. We've talked with operators in Ontario Canada, Virgin Islands, the Azores, Poland, and others across the globe about our efforts.
The Aero Amateur Radio Club that is hosting this event was first established at the Glenn L. Martin manufacturing plant where the Hawaii Clipper aircraft was built, and two transmitters for the event are established at the Essex Skypark Airport (W48) located in Essex, MD near the original location of the Martin manufacturing plant.
The Special Event call sign is K1H and our QSL card will feature the aircraft and the location in Micronesia where the crew and passenger remains are believed to be located.
Tune in!

The final radio transmission was made on July 29, 1938 at 0211 UTC and attempts to contact the aircraft 60 seconds later failed. The aircraft and crew vanished with no trace ever found. No distress call was sent even though the radio operator was in an active communication regarding a routine weather update.
Current conditions at Essex Skypark, Maryland. We’ll be back online once these storms pass…
