Things you did not know about me and maybe don’t care
1. I knew Jack Ruby
2. I took a mime class with Chris C**t, a stripper at Jack Ruby’s Club at The Dallas Theatre Center the first year it was open. No one in the class knew who she was except me. I was her friend and would pick her up for class. She wanted to learn movement. She wore glasses as thick as coke bottles and when she performed she took her glasses off and had to count steps because she couldn’t see. Stripping is hard work.
3. I lived in NYC for 10 years in the 60’s
4. I knew Andy Warhol and went to some of his parties
5. I spent the night with Dorothy Loudon drinking and her crying on my shoulder about how sad her life was. This was in the 60’s
6. I drove Kathryn Grayson home from a cast party and she was the sweetie’s person to me. Gave me a kiss on the cheek and said goodnight. I fell in love. After that, she would wink at me every time I saw her at the theatre. I was in my early 20s at the time
7. I knew and worked with Candy Barr. She did a play and I worked backstage and she would talk sexy to me and I would turn red and she would just laugh. Called me the kid. I was 18 or 19 at the time. If you don’t know who Candy Barr was, you should Google her.
8. I auditioned for Ted Mack And The Original Amateur Hour as a teenager. Over 300 people auditioned, and I was one of seven chosen. We performed at The Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, and the winner would go on to the TV show. I came in second. I did a record protamine, which they now call lip-syncing.

I was contacted and asked if I would consider being the Vice President on the new ticket for the upcoming presidential race. I declined because age is a factor. They didn't realize that I am 85 years old, which makes me older than the other elderly person on the opposing side. 😂
