Oat & Honey Goats Milk & Tallow Soap!
This simple soap recipe will not only save you money but will nourish your skin.
2 lbs. Goat’s Milk Soap Base, melted
2 tbsp Organic, raw honey
8oz 100% grass fed beef tallow
1/2 Tbsp. almond oil
Essential oil scents as desired
Raw oats & dried calendula flowers
How to make:
Cut goats milk soap base into cubes and melt. When melted add the rest of the ingredients but leave out the Calendula flowers and oats.
Pour into soap base.
Let harden (about 3 hours)
Take out of mold and cut.

Pasty butt tips and tricks for your chicks!! 🐥
Baby chicks that have some oats in their feed might have a leg up over their non-oat-eating counterparts. Ground raw oats can help clear up a case of pasty butt, a potentially life-threatening condition when the chick’s vent gets clogged. This condition can be brought on by stress or temperature changes.
Here’s how to treat it.
Simply run the chicks butt under lukewarm water to soften poop build up. Then using a paper towel lightly try to pinch and crumble the poop. Do not pull off as this can do damage to the chick. For stubborn build up, use olive oil to loosen.
Then towel dry the chick and return under heat lamp.
I also add a splash of AVC in their water for extra vitamins.

Do you wash your butt nuggets or leave them alone? I do NOT wash mine for all the reasons listed in the video. Eggs have a protective layer on them called the bloom. This ensures that no bacteria gets inside of the eggs. When you wash your eggs, you wash away this protective coating. I only wash my eggs right before I use them. 🥚 Fresh unwashed eggs can be stored outside of the fridge for up to 2 weeks. In the fridge, unwashed eggs will last 3 months. Washed eggs will last refrigerated for 2 months. If you do wash your eggs then they must be refrigerated.

As a society, we’ve become lazy in the food department. We expect all foods to be available to us at all times.
The beauty of growing your own food, is learning where it comes from, how it grows and the size it’s really supposed to be. Gardeners spend so much time planning, planting and tending their gardens. Trying to get as much food in their space as they can.
The other half is learning to preserve it all. To the highest quality. Food degrades over time and that just doesn’t work for me. So I make sure to use my Mylar bags from @wallabygoods to ensure my food stays fresh for years!!
