Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🥧🍁

I can’t believe it’s already been more than a year as Publisher of this wonderful magazine! Our latest Winter issue marks my 5th issue going out into the world and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to share the stories of the incredible farmers, makers, brewers, bakers, artisans and makers in the Philadelphia region. I am so honored to carry on the legacy begun by our friends Nancy and Ray at

I’m also so, so grateful to get to work with all the immensely talented (and generous) writers, editors, photographers and illustrators who make this magazine so special and so beautiful.

And, of course, none of it would be possible without our dream team - Joy, Vicki, Sam, Sam, Heather, Denise, Ann, Doug and Mary - and our print partners at Sheridan and our distribution partner ! I am grateful for your guidance, patience and support every day.

I’m excited for everyone to enjoy this issue, which will be out next week. For now, here’s hoping this sneak peek of the cover of cheeses shot by resembles your holiday table today. 🧀

Warm wishes for a happy, filling and restful Thanksgiving,
Jen Honovic Herczeg

Like many of us, Marissa Donata Touch found herself at a crossroads with her career once Covid hit. Donata decided to apply to the the Anna Tasca Lanza Cook the Farm program, a culinary educational program that would involve spending two months abroad, living in rural Sicily, and learning to make the food of the region. Donata, a graduate of the CIA’s baking and pastry program, was enthralled by the programs baking aspect, and returned to the US with a newfound appreciation for her Italian heritage through baking. Named for her Nona, Dandelion Bakes specializes in Italian classics interwoven with vintage American-style layer cakes. She is always creating, looking to add an Italian spin on any recipe she finds. Follow to see her next pop-up, or order sweets for your next party!
