11 years ago, Ram and I set out on this path with TechReels, full of excitement and vision. Today, as I look back on everything we've built, my heart is heavy with memories of the journey we started together.

Every reel, every interaction, and every piece of content carries the spirit of what we started together. While this day brings a mixture of emotions, I am profoundly grateful for the support and love you’ve all shown over the years. 🙌

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your presence means more than words can express, and it continues to give me strength as I look to the future. While I am proud of how far TechReels has come, there’s a quiet ache in knowing that part of this journey is no longer going to be the same.

Google I/O 24 Keynote Highlights

AI Announcements:
* Project Astra: This future AI assistant uses video and voice recognition to understand the context and answer your questions. Imagine using it to solve a coding problem by filming your code or finding your misplaced glasses in the video and so many.
* Gemini ERA
* Search: [AI overview]: Generative response for the search with text and image got a new name AI overview and is going to get new features in the coming months. The revamped UI is expected to roll out to the US next week and other countries soon.
* Gmail Integration: Google's powerful AI model, Gemini, is being incorporated into more services like Gmail. It can now summarize lengthy email chains and provide more relevant smart replies.
* ASK photos: Google Photos is becoming your personal memory concierge, ready to answer any question you throw at it. Get ready to spend less time digging and more time reliving those awesome moments!
* New Gemini Variants
* Gemini 1.5 Pro: Gemini, just got even more powerful! It can now analyze massive amounts of information, including long documents, complex code, lengthy videos, and even audio recordings. This means you can expect even more impressive capabilities from Gemini in the future.
* Gemini 1.5 Flash (lite version of Pro): A less powerful but more accessible version of Gemini Pro.
* Gemini Live: It is more like the Project Astra version of assistant for users access
* Gemini Nano: Smallest AI models, build directly into the Chrome desktop client, starting with Chrome 126. Some operations like “help me write” in Gmail can now be performed on the device. The same will be used in Pixel phones later this year.
* Notebook LM: Audio Overviews in NotebookLM uses Gemini 1.5 Pro to take your source materials in text or any format and generate a personalized and interactive audio conversation.
* Generative Media Tools on Labs.google: Google is launching a suite of generative AI tools on their experimental platform, Labs.google. These include:
* Imagen 3.0: An image generation tool. As per Google “This is [also] our best model yet for rendering text, which has been a challenge for image generation models”
* Music AI Sandbox: This lets you experiment with creating new music
* Veo: A tool for creating and editing videos using AI, a worthy competitor for SORA. Everyone can be a directors, only the imagination is the limit. (And of course the cost)

Google’s next-gen, AI-centric browser-based development environment, is now in open beta.

Android 15 Sneak Peeks:
* While details are scarce, Google hinted at increased AI features within Android 15. This could include a wider roll-out of "Circle to Search," allowing you to easily search for information related to what's on your screen.
* Because of Gemini nano
* Receive alerts for suspected scams during phone calls
* Improved and Clearer Talkback description on the image
* Android will warn you in the middle of a call as soon as it detects suspicious activity, like being asked for your PIN and bank info or if a bank employee asks for transfer money urgently

Hardware Absence:
* Unlike previous years, there were no announcements regarding new Pixel phones or foldable devices. The Pixel 8a was revealed earlier in the week.
* There was a glimpse of smart glasses powered by Gemini Live in the project Astra demo

Instead, someone counts the number of Times AI said during the Keynote, Gemini did the work and it was revealed as 121 times.
