I dabble in many crafts but my primary ones are card making and needlework. I plan to upload photos of existing works as well as sharing progress on larger projects.

This die is great with pretty papers for making quick cards. These were made as part of sets of cards I made for family Xmas gifts this year.

The challenge was clean and simple, which I always struggle with, so did 3! The 2nd one is using the foil leftovers from the 3rd one, nothing gets wasted in my craft room lol! 😊

Finally found some MDF tissue boxes to decorate, so did them the same as the mirror and lotion bottles we already have. So simple but effective, just a bucket of warm water and nail polish!! And every one is unique 😊

I was asked by Tanaria Carey of to test out her new gingerbread design pack. I have to admit that I was out of my comfort zone on this one as a) I don't do Xmas cards well for some reason, b) I've never been a gingerbread kinda gal!!
So I made a selection of cards using the designs and I think they came out well, what do you think?
They are single line designs so suitable for foiling.

A pretty butterfly from the party paws range, backed into mulberry papered and layered with some pretty papers from my stash (yes, I'm actually using it and not just looking at it!!), Pearl drops added as embellishments

Been practing backgrounds and making designs more 3d with shadow effects. First one is a stencil that I have which I inked up and then added clouds in the sky and inked the sun to give it more depth.
The 2nd one is also a stencil which I did over an inked background card and used a mask for the moon to give it shadow. I added some white ink for snow to ground the image .
The 3rd one is done on Kraft card, I used the mask for the sun and inked the background and then went over the moon with white ink and brushed the white ink to show its reflection. The main design is a die cut image which I cut out and then stamped the grasses in white. Birds added by hand with black pen, and snow drops added with tippex pen. I think next time I'd do this one as a square with the top of the trees being the top of the card!

I lost my confidence in colouring this last year but decided to get the pens out for this special card and I'm really pleased with the outcome, it's restored my confidence! I foiled the design in rose foil and then used promarkers to colour it in. Found the perfect paper for the background.

So funny story behind this one, had my family over to stay and asked cousin Lucas what he wanted on his 18th birthday card, in typical male response he said ' don't know!'. So I suggested pink glitter fairies which he didn't fancy!!😁
So here is the resulting card, the tools come out of the tool box, and the inside was a pink metallic fairy!!
