He was born in OSAKA.He started play at a live house and night club in 1995.In 1998, participated in project of organization of FINDERPOP LABEL and under the name of e3,provided several songs for its compilation album. Around 2001, He created sound effect and music forshort film and stage play, and participated a field party irregularly.In 2002, joined in the party of "Imagined Communities" , and

performed in various events. In 2004, he started creation underhis real name "Hiroaki Asai". On the other hand, He began his solo unit "enq" with the another concept. His first album in real name "for unaffected things" was released on Imagined record April 14, 2005.And second album "kalala"was released on imagiened record May 19,2007.
