I don't know what Nigeria is still doing with the 6-3-3-4 education system.
6 years in primary school is too much. Make it 5. Then 1 year for vocational/skill/business training. The next 3 years in junior secondary is also too much. Make it 2, another 1 year for vocational/skill/business training.
Also, The last 3 years in senior secondary should be 2. Then Another 1 year for vocational training.
The policy should be this, without verification of your 1 year vocational training intervals, pupils and students should not be allowed to proceed to the next phase. After primary school, completion of the compulsory 1 year vocational/skill/business training should be a requirement for secondary school. The same with after junior secondary, you must show evidence you went for the 1 year skill/vocational/business training and before you enter the university, in addition to your WAEC and JAMB, you must also show prove that you attended the business/skill/vocational training for one year.
In the end, students will have gone through a compulsory three years vocational/business/skill training by the time they are ready to enter the university.
That way, instead of a 6-3-3-4 system, you have a 5-1-2-1-2-1-4 system. Like the way the developmental states of the Asian tigers enforce vocational training in their countries, our educational systems need to be rearranged. If you call it Ralf Ragnick formation, na you Sabi 😃
